Closure to Overseas Projects

We have taken the very difficult decision to stop supporting overseas projects (although just a few exceptions may be given to causes with which Southall trustees have a close personal connection). This will be effective from 30th September 2023 and the closure is for an indefinite period of time.

The intention for this closure is to significantly reduce the number of applications to the Trust, to allow the trustees time to discuss, consider, and be educated upon the devastating effects of colonialism, ‘white saviourism’, racism and racial inequality. Following this, we hope to be much clearer in terms of the projects and organisations we are looking to support.

We thank potential applicants in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this vital work and we look forward to providing a further update in due course.
