New: Application Deadlines

In November 2025, the Trust introduced funding rounds for applications, with restricted periods when the Trust is open to applications. These were introduced with the aim of making the administration of applications more manageable and our response times to applicants quicker.

This is a significant change to the way the Trust has previously operated, whereby applications were invited all year. As such, we anticipate needing to refine the process as we go and we thank applicants in advance for their patience with us.

APRIL 2026 UPDATE:

Over a period of just eight weeks – from 3rd March to 28th April – we received around seven months’ worth of applications under our previous system. The majority of these were within the Social Action sub-categories of ‘Human Rights & Equality’ and ‘Poverty-related Disadvantage’.

Administering such a large volume of applications is not sustainable for our small team. As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to close to applications a few days earlier than the previously communicated May deadline.

We are sorry for the disappointment and for any inconvenience that this may cause.

For now, our focus is on working through the applications received. We aim to communicate outcomes to all who have followed our ‘what we support‘ guidelines by the end of August.

We expect to re-open to applications towards the end of July. We will publish the confirmed date on our website in due course. We also intend to make further changes to our eligibility checker and application form, to reduce unnecessary effort for both applicants and the Trust.

Finally, we remain committed to the schedule of deadlines below. However, we will close the application window early if/when the overall value of the applications received in a category significantly exceeds the grant-giving budget for that category.

The Trust will be open to applications during the following periods:

    • Mid-March for up to eight weeks.
    • Mid-July for up to eight weeks.
    • Mid-November for up to eight weeks.

Please keep an eye on our website for further information.
